The Japanese Academy of Clinical Periodontology is launched as the society of clinical periodontology in 1983. We dedicate to the improvement of dental therapy through continuing study of Periodontology and education for members. Our goal is to help improve health and, thus, quality of life for Japanese. Today, our over 5000 members include nationally-known clinical periodontists, independent dental practitioners, as well as dental practitioners working at university hospitals,polyclinics and dental hygienists. We conduct various activities such as holding conferences for research presentation, hosting seminars and lectures and publishing our periodical journal. Furthermore, we are working together in hand with periodontists as well as national and international organizations related to the same field of studies.
